The climatological commission held its sixth session in Toronto, Canada, in the economics building of the University of Toronto, from 4th to 25th August, 1947. The host government was the Canadian Government and the host service the meteorological division of the Canadian department of transport. The president of the commission , Mr Francisco X.R. de Souza, Brazil, acted as President of the CCI, and elected unanimously Mr. Merrill Bernard as Vice-President.
